Before reorganization in 1997 it was a Base of inshore Arctic floating means of transportation of the Northern Shipping Company. Nowadays it is a branch establishment of joint-stock company "NSC".

The staff and crews have operational experience in:

• Delivery of ordinary general and special cargo (military, geological cargo, equipment, fuel) to unequipped coasts of the White, Barents and Kara seas in the regime of solo navigation and together with transport vessels.
  The main clients are Department of Defense of Russia, the Administration of the Arkhangelsk region, Arkhangelsk geological company, public office "Sevgidromet".
• Transportation of unique bulky, heavy objects on supersize ballasting pontoon "TMI-5" with lift capacity of 2000 tons with unbounded area of navigation and ice reinforcement of the hull.
  The main clients are Russian and foreign petroleum and gas extracting and processing enterprises, shipbuilding enterprises, Arkhangelsk sea port.
• Guarantee of client's cargo delivery is provided by resource base for accomplishment of assessed activity:
  • 3 units of dry-cargo platform-ship (self-propelled potoon with lifting capacity of 120-140 tons) with cranes of lifting capacity of 3,2 tons (+ 6 units in cold sediment);
  • 3 units of self-propelled barge of "North" type for towage of small non-self-propelled objects;
  • 18 units of non-self-propelled pontoon (lifting capacity 50 tons);
  • amphibian sea tug-boat "AB"-type - 1 unit
  • 21 units of single-rope grab buckets for reloading of loose materials
  • Heavy-load ballasting non-self-propelled pontoon "TMI-5" with lifting capacity of 2000 tons and unbounded navigation area and reinforcement of the hull "L2".
• Passenger sea vessel "Belomorie" with 36 locations ;
• Passenger river vessel "SB-101" with 30 locations for river crossing;
• Reinforce concrete berth on the Moiseev island for cargo operations, storage of clients' cargo and fleet basing.

The fleet is constantly being mustered by Registry of Sea Shipping. The number of exploited units depends on the number of orders.
