The name of our company "Boreal Shipping" ltd can be traced back to the
history of the Russian North. The word "Borey" means Northern wind. Thatswhy
this word is in close connection with local life and inhabitants- Pomors who
made their voyages and traded a lot in the White sea and Scandinavia. In
connection with the above trading the town of Archangelsk was founded by the
order of Russian Tsar Ivan the Terrible in 1584.
Later Archangelsk was transformed in to the first Russian port by the will of
the Tsar Peter the First.
Boreal Shipping ltd. was created in June, 1995 and from that time we have
been provided Owners, disponent Owners, Charterers and Agents 24 hrs, 7 days per
week indicated services in the fields of:
Worldwide chartering
Ship agency in the ports of the White sea: Archangelsk, Mesen, Onega,
Narian-Mar and the (Dry, general liquid cargoes; and cruise vessels)
Cargo damages and draft survey
Forwarding via the port of Archangelsk
Our company the first in Archangelsk within shipping companies has been
acquired quality standard certification ISO-9002 : 94 by Bureau Veritas Quality
Insurance by Nov-24-th, 1998.
