Long aged traditions,high technologies as well as highly experienced specialists are reasoning the well-done and speedily made ship repairs at this plant.

The main sphere of the yard activities is repairing of sea- and river-going vessels and fishing trawlers as well as technical
fleet with displacement up to 13500 tons, building of ships with the displacement of 1000 tons when empty, manufacturing of bridge metal constructions and machine building wares as well.

The dock line is 1100 meters in length. SWL of cranage available on docks is up to 32 tons.

For lifting and repairing of the underwater part of vessels there available are 2 floating docks with lifting capacity of 5000 and 9600 tons, the latter having been built at the plant.

Ship repairing and shipbuilding are carried out at the yard with regard to all the works as listed below:

Hull and welding shop has technological equipment that allows to treat up to 6000 tons of sheet and section steel, it is equipped with welding machines for automatic, semi-automatic and manual welding of steel and aluminium alloys, flame-cutting machines for sheet steel. The treatment of metal and construction assembling are done in the covered area of 5000 sq m and in the covered workshopshop of 1300 sq m.

When docked the vessel is subject to all repairs related to the hull underwater part as well as propeller and stearing gear complex unit, to having the hull blasted and coated with an ice-proof paint.

"Krasnaya Kuznitsa" carries out vessel underwater part repair, fixed and controllable pitch propeller and steering gear repair. We also perform hull blasting and painting with ice-proof paint.

Machine section comprises the following areas - area of machine processing, tool area, main engine repair area, auxiliary mechanisms area, area of hydraulic equipment, thermal treatment area, the area of hot zinc plating and electroplating.
Electric shop repairs electric engines, does overhaul and assembly of electrical equipment, as well as radionavigation equipment and other kinds of ship's automatics.

Foundry makes steel castings of cast iron with weight of up to 300 kgs and castings of copper alloys with weight of up to 100 kgs. Shipbuilding area has slipway places with the total area of 10000 sq m, 6 launching ways that allow to side launch vessels with the weight of up to 1000 tons and length of up to 90 m For the last few years tug hulls and pontoons for Dutch companies of Damen and Neptune have been built at the yard.

Besides the main range of ship repair and shipbuilding works, "Krasnaya Kuznitsa" has mastered production of metal constructions for water bridge superstructure.

Production of bridge superstructures at the yard has been certified by Russian State Bridge Inspection.

"Krasnaya Kuznitsa" has received certificates from Lloyd's Register of Shipping (England) and Bureau Veritas (France) for certain orders.

At present the yard quality control system is being certified for accordance with International Standard ISO 9001.
