The Company "Trans-NAO" was founded on April 7,1994. Having been the general
carrier all through the Nenets Autonomous District (Okrug)since 1996 it performs
the program of the "Northern delivery" to 14 port-points of the NAO located on
the shores of the White, Barents and Kara seas. In the course of a short Arctic
navigation the company delivers up to 40 000 tons of coal, 12 000 tons of oil
products, oil and gas equipment to the areas of oil well drilling works as well
as containers, building materials and food products from the port of Arkhangelsk
thereby carrying out unloading operations onto a wild unprepared shore,having
supplied within these years 100% of all the goods needed there .
Since 1996 from June till November 2 vessels of the Company are performing
regular line shipping between the ports of Arkhangelsk and Narian-Mar. From the
port of Narian-mar down the Pechora river cargoes used to be delivered further
on by river ships. The Company has at its disposal a stock of 3,5,20 ft own
containers for regular shipping on the line Arkhangelsk - Narian-Mar as well as
both open and covered storage.
The Company has all the licenses issued by the Ministry of Transport of RF
needed for its activities.
